NLN Foundation Scholarship Awards - Application Prep Webinar - Shared screen with speaker view
the one year needs to be at the time of the application submission deadline - in this case, May 2020
The only scholarships we offer for undergraduates are for those focusing on geriatrics.
For the Foundation for Nursing Education scholarship, how many participants are selected?
In the event that a candidate was not selected, can they reapply next year without penalty?
It was helpful to get the input of our Scholarships and Grants leader at the university for editing and formatting help!
I also found that searching the NLN site to show how my work forwarded the NLN’s goals was very helpful.
I have received both the NLN Foundation scholarship and the NLN/SNRS Dissertation Award and I review scholarship applications as a member of the review committee. Following instructions is key, headings are very helpful, and having someone review and evaluate you against the rubric is crucial.
Also- make sure that any letters of reference are on letterhead and not a plain Word document.
I also worked to be very specific and clear on my goals in nursing education in the future.
It may also be good to ask an extra person to write a letter in case one does not come in on time.
It’s worth trying. I figured it was a long shot and got it! I am SO THANKFUL! I should graduate this May.
